Chain of responsibility due diligence: certificate masterclass

From early 2018, businesses in the Heavy Vehicle National Law chain of responsibility will be subject to a new safety duty, including on maintenance and repairs.

Maximum penalties will increase dramatically, to $3 million for corporations and $300,000 or five years’ imprisonment or both for individuals.

Trucking business directors and senior managers will be subject to new due diligence obligations.

In this session, you’ll hear first from NHVR CEO Sal Petroccitto, who will background you on the new requirements and how the NHVR will enforce them.

Katherine Morris and Aaron Anderson from Norton Rose Fulbright will then lead you through a masterclass that will equip you with an understanding of your new obligations and how you can comply.

Norton Rose Fulbright have advised many businesses and individuals on how to comply with safety laws: they know, from experience, what works and what doesn’t. The information you get will be clear, safety-focused and achievable.

All registered delegates who attend the masterclass will receive a certificate of attendance signed by the ATA and Norton Rose Fulbright.

This session, exclusive to Trucking Australia 2017, is sponsored by Norton Rose Fulbright.
